The Corps Starkenburgia is an association of Giessen students who reside together in a communal setting and who play mutually supportive roles concerning their studies. Starkenburgia is Giessen's oldest existing fraternity and offers reasonably priced living accommodations to Students at the Liebig University and the Friedberg institution.

Personal and character development of each member is an important component of our efforts. We expect a well rounded general education, good manners and engagement from our members.

We know that we do expect a lot from young fellow students.

The reward for our efforts is an association that bridges generations and many lifelong friendships.

A strong bond is holding us together, yet we treat each other in a critical objective fashion from which all of us benefit. Whether during our studies or later during our professional years, belonging to the corps enriches our lives.
